My kids each got a Nintendo DS for Christmas this year. I have never been a fan of playing video games myself, but I don’t see any harm to the reasonable use of such devices. Last night, here at camp, I picked up Ga’hoole Girl’s DS and started playing Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. I am addicted. I have always kind of enjoyed watching the kids solve the Zelda puzzles on the GameCube, but I could never really get into the controls of the GameCube or GameBoy. The Nintendo DS,though, uses a touch screen and stylus, which is quite comfortable for me. I have gotten killed a bunch while trying to get used to how everything works. I guess I’m still on the learning curve. But, I’m having a blast!!
