I haven't been doing much blogging because we've been rearranging furniture and doing other little projects. Things that used to take a day or two now take a couple of weeks, but we can finally walk through the main part of the house without tripping again!
Today, though, was something different. The weather is finally nice, so the kids and I went and bought flowers to put in the front flowerbed. We have been in this house for 2 years and the poor flowerbed has been very lonely. The kids and I picked out lots of annuals and a few perennials then came home and planted everything. After about an hour, I was pretty well done for - sore all over and a worsening headache. But, the kids (quite to my surprise) kept on until the bed was completely filled, then trimmed the bushes along the driveway and watered everything really well. I'll post some pictures in a few days.

I would love to see the pictures! Sounds beautiful! Also, curious about the veggie and herb garden? Has Ga Hoole girl started that yet? Got ours planted end of April! Got to go thin the seedlings today (Sunday). We planted: Big Boy tomatoes, Roma tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, green peppers, red peppers, green beans, yellow squash, zucchini, yellow corn, cantaloupe, pumpkin, and cucumbers. I planted some new herbs in addition to the oregano, rosemary, thyme, and chives I have: basil, parsley, and cilantro. I'm still planning on planting tarragon and a bay tree. Got to get those sometime soon. E and I will be planting sunflowers (for the birds) in the next day or so. It's so much fun to plant and watch them grow! Keep us posted on the progress!
